Plantain Porridge ingredients 1 green plantain 1 dried, natural coconut 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp cinnamon 1-2 tbsp vanilla sugar preparation grate or blend green plantain put small amount of water to boil add plantain mixture and stir using natural coconut grate or blend squeeze coconut juice into porridge add nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon and sugar to your taste. cool and enjoy Serves 1-2 Recipe by ras joseph Green Banana Porridge ingredients 1 green banana 1/2 dried coconut 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg 1-2 tbsp vanilla sugar preparation grate or blend green banana put small amount of to boil add banana mixture and stir using natural coconut grate or blend squeeze coconut milk in porridge add nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon and and sugar to your taste cool and enjoy Serves 1-2 Recipe by ras joseph Cornmeal Porridge ingredients 1 cup yellow cornmeal (coarse or fine) 2 cups water 1 cup dried natural coconut 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg 1-2 tbsp vanilla flavoring cane sugar or condensed milk preparation 1. mix cornmeal using one cup water boil remaining water in a pot add cornmeal mixture and stir grate or blend half coconut then squeeze the juice(milk)into porridge Stirring occasionally for about 10-15mins add nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla sweeten with cane sugar serve hot. This porridge is ideal for kids. Serves 1-2 Recipe by ras joseph Peanut Porridge ingredients 1 cup raw peanuts 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp cinnamon 1-2 tbsp vanilla flavor cane sugar preparation blend one cup raw peanuts until smooth boil water in a pot add mixture of peanuts to water stirring occasionally, add nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla stir for 5-6mins over medium heat Sweeten with cane sugar serve hot. Very good to start the day. Serves 1-2 Recipe by ras joseph Oatmeal Porridge ingredients 1 cup oatmeal 3 cups water 3 tbsp vanilla flavoring 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg sugar/condensed milk preparation Bring water to boil in a pot Add oatmeal to boiling water and stir occasionally Reduce heat to medium and simmer for about 10-15 min Add vanilla, cinammon, and nutmeg and stir Sweeten with sugar or condensed milk for taste Serves 1-2 Recipe by Ras Joseph Hominy corn Porridge ingredients 8 oz cup of hominy corn 1 pt water 1 pt coconut milk 2 tbs cornflour 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 freshly grated nutmeg Cane sugar preparation Wash corn, place in a pan with the water and boil until soft(tender) Mix the coconut milk with the cornflour and pour into the pot. Cook and stir continuously as the mixture thickens. Add the spices and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stir porridge occasionally. Sweeten to taste with cane sugar Serves 2-4 |
