Rosh Hashanah New Years Rice and Beans
Sweet twist on Rice and beans
2 cups brown rice
1 cup red lentils
6 cups of water
cook as directed with pinch of salt and few drops oil
1 med yam chopped and baked
handful turnip or any dark greens
1 cup cooked kidney beans seasoned with pepper corns and allspice
mix together with 8 chopped apricots
Season with:
1 t dill
1/2 t cumin
1/2 t tumeric
1/2 t garlic power
salt and pepper to taste
